Brass P-Trap for 1-1/2 in Pipe

This Zoro Select P-trap is a brass drainage component with a chrome-plated silver finish. It fits a nominal 1-1/2 in pipe size and uses slip connections at both inlet and outlet. The assembly includes an 8-1/4 in wall extension and a flange. It meets UPC standards and is manufactured to a 17 gauge thickness.

Replaces Corroded or Leaking Traps

The trap serves as a direct replacement for worn brass or plastic P-traps on 1-1/2 in drain lines. The jump is worth it when the existing trap shows corrosion at the slip joints, the finish has deteriorated, or the gauge is thinner than 17 ga. It is not suited for drain lines with a different nominal size or for installations that require a solvent-weld connection type.

Holds Seal Under Continuous Flow

Brass construction resists deformation when hot water runs for extended periods, maintaining the water seal that blocks sewer gas. The chrome plating withstands repeated exposure to household cleaners without pitting. The slip-joint design allows the trap to be removed for cleaning without cutting pipe. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
