Two-computer KVM switch

This YINGHUA KVM switch lets two computers share four USB peripherals through a single button press. It connects to each host with the supplied USB A-to-A cables and presents four downstream ports for keyboards, mice, printers, scanners and similar devices. The unit is powered from the host ports and includes an optional 5 V DC input for higher-draw peripherals. Plug-and-play operation supports Windows 10, 8.1, 7, Vista, XP, Mac OS X, Linux and Chrome OS.

USB 3.0 host with USB 2.0 downstream

The two upstream ports follow the USB 3.0 specification while the four downstream ports operate at USB 2.0 speeds. This means attached storage or cameras will be limited to USB 2.0 transfer rates even when connected to USB 3.0 hosts. The 5 V DC power jack accepts only a standard 5 V adapter; any charger with a higher output voltage is not permitted and may damage the switch. No external power is required for typical keyboard and mouse sets.

One-button port selection

A single front-panel button toggles all four downstream ports between the two connected computers instantly. There is no hot-key sequence, software utility or automatic switching mode — the button is the only way to change the active host. Buyers who need automatic switching, hot-key control or the ability to split peripherals across both computers simultaneously should look for a different KVM design.
