What the tool does and who uses it

The Yankok S501B is a hand-held stripper and cutter built for low-voltage installers, network technicians and DIY users who prepare Ethernet, coax, telephone and flat cables on site. It handles UTP, FTP, STP, CAT5/5e, CAT6/6a, RG59, RG6, RG7, RG11, stranded phone wire from 2P to 10P, speaker wire 18 to 22 AWG, SPT-1 and SPT-2 electric wires, and automotive wires up to 8 AWG. The grey plastic body keeps weight low for belt carry.

Adjustable blade depth and cassette limits

Stripping depth is set by a thumb-screw bolt that moves the centre blade; the same cassette reverses for SPT-1 or SPT-2 flat wires. Round cables from 3.2 mm to 9.5 mm outside diameter are stripped by rotating the tool one to three times counter-clockwise before opening the jaws. Flat cables must be held perpendicular to the blade and pulled through. The spring-loaded cutter snaps off conductors up to the stated gauge range but cannot process cables thicker than 9.5 mm OD or solid conductors larger than 8 AWG.

Capacity headroom and where it stops

The replaceable blade set and adjustable bolt give comfortable headroom across the listed cable families, letting one tool cover most residential and light commercial prep work. It runs out on heavy industrial armour, cables exceeding 9.5 mm OD, solid conductors above 8 AWG, or high-voltage mains wiring outside the low-volt scope. For those tasks a dedicated heavy-duty stripper or ratchet cutter is required.
