Precision Bore Gage 2-6 Inch Range

This WUQ cylinder dial bore gage measures internal diameters from 2 to 6 inches with a graduation of 0.0005 inches. It uses a two-point carbide-tipped contact system to detect geometry abnormalities such as ovality. The self-centering design and insulated grip allow fast, repeatable measurements at depths up to 9.5 inches. A fitted protective case and a 2 inch extension are included.

Sustained Accuracy Under Load

The carbide-tipped anvil contact points resist wear and abrasion during repeated use, preserving the 0.0005 inch graduation over long inspection sessions. Self-centering action reduces operator influence so measurements remain consistent when checking multiple bores sequentially. The insulated grip minimises heat transfer from the hand, helping the instrument maintain stability during extended periods of handling.

Dial Indicator Resolution Limits

The dial indicator resolves to 0.0005 inches, which sets the practical limit for detecting small variations in bore diameter. Two-point contact excels at identifying ovality but cannot detect lobing or triangular form errors that a three-point system would reveal. Calibration requires a separate setting ring not supplied with the gage, so absolute accuracy depends on the quality of that external reference.
