The WUQ 140A is a portable ARC welding machine that runs on 110 or 220 V mains supply. It delivers up to 110 A at 110 V and 140 A at 220 V for MMA welding on stainless steel and low carbon steel. A built-in plastic welding gun and staples add a second repair function for non-metal parts. Electrode compatibility and output limits

The welder supports E6010, E6011, E6013, E7014 and E7018 rods, covering common mild-steel and low-hydrogen applications. Maximum output is capped at 110 A on 110 V circuits, which restricts rod diameter and joint thickness compared with 220 V operation where the full 140 A is available. Automatic voltage detection switches ranges without manual selection, but the lower-voltage limit remains a hard ceiling on penetration and deposition rate. Buyers who need higher continuous current for thicker plate or larger electrodes will find the output insufficient.

IGBT inverter build with safety features

The inverter chassis uses IGBT technology for stable arc characteristics and includes Hot Start, Arc Force and Anti-Stick functions to ease arc initiation and prevent electrode freezing. A digital display shows parameters while VRD electric-shock protection reduces open-circuit voltage when welding is paused. The plastic welding function activates with a switch and short warm-up, implying a combined control board rather than separate modules.
