UASP is available on Windows 8, Mac OS X 10.8 or later, and Linux. Without UASP the link falls back to conventional USB 3.0 performance.

Cable design with separate power

A short cable links the SATA connector to the USB plug, keeping the setup compact on a desk. The external power brick connects to the adapter for 3.5 inch drives, while 2.5 inch draws can run from the USB port alone. Black plastic housing resists everyday handling.
