Yard hydrant for sub-zero use

The Woodford Y1-2 yard hydrant delivers immediate water flow even in sub-zero temperatures. Its one-piece variable-flow plunger and large cushion-type seal ensure reliable shut-off when foreign particles are present in the line. The adjustable linkage allows positive lever lock tension adjustment for consistent operation. A built-in rod guide eliminates side pull on the rod to reduce wear on packing components.

Automatic drain prevents freezing

The hydrant automatically drains when the shut-off valve is properly installed below the frost line and all devices are removed from the nozzle. This design prevents freeze damage during sustained cold periods without requiring manual intervention. The flow finder and lock automatically sets the same flow each time or can be locked against accidental opening. The 60 1/2 inch overall length places the valve below typical frost depths for reliable performance.

Replaces hydrants prone to freeze damage

This unit upgrades installations where previous hydrants failed due to trapped water freezing in the valve body.
