The Westward 13H884 is a manual ratchet crimper built for electricians and low-voltage installers who terminate RJ-11, RJ-12 and RJ-45 connectors on a regular basis. It uses a fixed die set so no separate die purchase is required. The tool is new and supplied without a tether-ready attachment point.

Setup Checks Before Ordering

Verify that your work only involves uninsulated terminals compatible with the listed connector types. The crimper includes a built-in wire stripper but no integrated wire cutter, so a separate cutter must be available on site. Confirm that a non-insulated, non-sparking hand tool meets your site safety requirements.

Behaviour Under Sustained Use

The ratchet mechanism releases only after a full crimp cycle, maintaining consistent termination quality over repeated operations. Deluxe cushion grips reduce hand fatigue during long cable runs. Because the maximum crimping force is not rated by the manufacturer, the tool should be reserved for standard-density patch cables rather than heavy-gauge or high-volume production batches.
