3/4 Inch MNPT Self-Closing Valve

The faucet connects via a 3/4 inch male NPT inlet that threads directly into a drum bung. An external flame arrestor adds a layer of protection when handling flammable oils. The valve is rated only for oils up to 30W; heavier gear oils or non-petroleum fluids fall outside the specified service range.

Simple Thread-In Installation

Installation requires threading the 3/4 inch MNPT inlet into the drum opening and tightening to seal against the PTFE gasket. No tools beyond a suitable wrench are typically needed. The most common issue is cross-threading the taper threads or under-tightening, which can cause leaks around the bung. Users must also ensure the drum vent is open; a sealed drum will prevent flow even with the valve fully open.
