12 MP IMX577 USB 3.0 Camera Module

The Weinandianzi module pairs a 1/2.3-inch IMX577 CMOS sensor with a fixed-focus lens to deliver 12 megapixel stills and 4K video at 30 frames per second. It targets developers and integrators who need a compact, UVC-compliant vision sensor for face recognition, kiosk, or embedded imaging projects without writing custom drivers. The Type-C USB 3.0 interface supplies both data and power over a single 1.5 metre cable.

Type-C USB 3.0 Plug-and-Play Integration

The board exposes a standard USB 3.0 Type-C connector and requires no external power supply, freeing a build from additional voltage rails or proprietary cabling. UVC compliance means the module enumerates as a standard video class device on Windows 10, Windows 11, Android and Linux, so host software can open the stream immediately. The 196.76 mm flexible flat cable and 40 mm by 29 mm PCB footprint allow placement in tight enclosures where a traditional webcam housing would not fit.

Sustained 30 FPS 4K Output Under Load

In MJPEG mode the sensor maintains 3840 by 2160 at 30 fps continuously, while YUY2 at the same resolution runs at 15 fps, giving integrators a choice between compressed bandwidth and uncompressed colour fidelity for long captures. Electronic rolling shutter and adjustable exposure, gain and white balance let the firmware adapt to changing illumination without frame drops. The fixed-focus optics with a 101.5° diagonal field of view keep depth of field constant, avoiding focus hunting during extended operation.
