The Weiler 06050 is a 6-inch crimped wire wheel built for straight grinders, bench grinders, pedestal grinders and buffing lathes. It targets metalworkers who need a flexible brushing action for light to medium cleaning, deburring, blending and finishing on carbon steel, cast iron, ductile iron and tool steel. The solid ring construction reduces wire fatigue and breakage for longer service life. It is not suited for heavy stock removal or aggressive grinding tasks that require knotted or heavier filament wheels.

2" Arbor Hole with .008" Steel Fill

The single specification that decides fitment is the 2-inch unthreaded arbor hole paired with .008-inch diameter heat-treated steel wire. This combination matches the spindle of stationary machines and straight grinders designed for that bore size. The medium face width of 1 inch and 1-1/8 inch trim length define the contact area and filament exposure. Using this wheel on a tool with a different arbor size or thread pattern will prevent secure mounting and create a safety hazard.

6000 rpm Maximum Operating Speed

Under sustained load the wheel runs at up to 6000 rpm, delivering consistent performance for demanding light-duty surface conditioning. The crimped wire design maintains uniform brushing action without the vibration common in knotted wheels during extended passes.
