Vszerda
Adds two parallel ports and one serial port via PCIe x1 using an ASIX AX99100 chipset with 50 bps to 16 Mbps speeds
The Vszerda SI-PEX50103 adds one serial and two parallel ports through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It uses the ASIX AX99100 chipset and includes a low-profile bracket for compact chassis. Each port reaches bi-directional speeds from 50bps to 16Mbps. The card supports SPP, PS2, EPP and ECP parallel modes plus RS232, RS422 and RS485 serial standards.
This card suits technicians maintaining equipment that still relies on DB25 or DB9 connections such as CNC controllers, barcode scanners or older printers. It also fits developers debugging serial protocols on modern motherboards lacking native COM or LPT headers. Buyers who need only USB-based adapters or purely internal pin headers should look elsewhere.
The AX99100 controller delivers up to 16Mbps bi-directional throughput on each port and handles custom baud rates via an external clock or internal PLL programming. Power management covers D1, D2, D3hot and D3cold states. This specification determines whether the card meets the timing and protocol requirements of your legacy device.
No published specifications for this item yet.
Insert the card into an available PCIe x1 slot, secure the full-height bracket first, then swap to the included low-profile bracket for slim cases before tightening the screw.
The AX99100 operates without user-serviceable firmware; no capacitors are exposed, so no scheduled maintenance is required under normal operation.
Sustained bi-directional traffic caps at 16 Mbps per port, which is the maximum signalling rate the AX99100 supports.
