Connection layout

The Vszerda SA-121 is a SATA 22Pin 7+15 male-to-female adapter with a 90-degree right-angled connector. It joins a standard SATA data and power plug to a matching female port in a compact black housing. The copper conductors carry both signal and power lines through the single 22-pin interface. Builders working in tight drive bays or behind motherboard trays use it to redirect the cable run without stressing the onboard header.

Capacity and headroom

The adapter passes the full SATA 22-pin complement, so it supports the same drive speeds and power draw as a straight-through cable. It adds no active circuitry, meaning there is no extra latency or voltage drop beyond the minimal contact resistance of the connectors. The right-angle shape saves vertical clearance, but the physical bend radius of the attached cable still limits how close the drive can sit to a panel or another component.

Interface limits

SATA signalling tops out at the rate defined by the host controller and drive firmware; the adapter itself does not negotiate or convert speeds. Because it is a passive gender changer, it cannot bridge to eSATA or any other interface not electrically identical to the internal SATA 22-pin layout. Users needing longer reach must add a separate extension cable, as the SA-121 only reorients the existing connection point.
