PCIe 6-pin to dual 8-pin splitter

This cable converts a single 6-pin PCIe output on a modular power supply into two 8-pin (6+2) connectors. It uses 18AWG copper conductors and provides a 60 cm main lead with a 20 cm Y-split tail. The assembly is intended for breakout-board mining PSUs such as the DPS-1200FB, DPS-1200QB, HSTSN-PL12, DPS-700LB, DPS-750RB and DL580 units, as well as any standard-wire-map 6-pin modular PSU including the Coolermaster Silent 1200W.

Suits builders adding a second GPU power connector

The splitter works when the power supply already has a free 6-pin PCIe port and the graphics cards or risers accept 8-pin plugs. It does not create extra power; the source 6-pin circuit and the PSU’s total 12 V capacity still limit the combined draw. Builders whose PSU lacks a 6-pin PCIe output, or who need more than two additional connectors, should look at a different solution.

Single 6-pin source feeds two 8-pin plugs

The decisive specification is that one 6-pin male connector splits into two 8-pin (6+2) male ends. If the power supply cannot spare a 6-pin PCIe port, or if the graphics card requires two separate 8-pin feeds each sourced from an independent 8-pin PSU socket, this adapter will not meet the requirement.
