Driver-Free Operation and OS Visibility

The adapter is transparent to the operating system and requires no software drivers. Windows 10 or later will detect the SSD once the OS loads. Ordinary systems cannot see the drive in BIOS, so booting from the SSD is only possible if the motherboard BIOS specifically supports PCIe device booting.

Slot Compatibility and Chipset Limits

Installation requires a motherboard with a Z97 or later chipset and a free PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot. AMD chipset motherboards are not recommended.
