Connects an HDMI source to a VGA display at up to 1920x1080 60Hz with a built-in signal converter chip
This HDMI to VGA cable connects a source device with an HDMI output to a monitor, projector or HDTV that only accepts a VGA input. The 6‑foot male‑to‑male design needs no separate adapter or power supply. A built‑in IC chip performs the digital‑to‑analogue conversion so the link works immediately after plugging in both ends.
The cable is ideal for desktop PCs, laptops, a Raspberry Pi, Roku, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U or set‑top boxes that must drive an older VGA display. It cannot be used in reverse, so a VGA‑only computer cannot connect to an HDMI monitor. Devices with low‑power HDMI ports such as a Blu‑ray player, PS4, MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac mini or Apple TV are also unsupported.
The integrated converter handles resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz, plus 1600x1200, 1280x1024 and 720p. Gold‑plated HDMI contacts resist corrosion and maintain signal quality. Because the conversion is strictly HDMI to VGA, the cable will not pass a signal from a VGA source to an HDMI display.
No published specifications for this item yet.
This cable is a fixed 6 ft male-to-male design that only converts HDMI to VGA; it cannot send a VGA signal to an HDMI display.
It supports Full HD 1080p at 60 Hz, plus lower modes such as 720p, 1600x1200 and 1280x1024 for broad display compatibility.
The gold-plated HDMI male connector carries a digital signal that the built-in IC chip converts to analog VGA, capping output at 1920x1080@60Hz.
