Mini PCI-E WWAN Adapter for Module Testing

The Vszerda EP-042-HX converts a Mini PCI-E WWAN card to a USB interface so engineers and technicians can test 3G, 4G or 5G LTE modules without opening a laptop. A built-in SIM slot lets you insert a carrier card alongside the WWAN module for immediate connectivity checks. It draws power and data through the USB link and requires no extra drivers beyond those supplied for the WWAN card itself. USB Interface Limits Host Speed and Power

The adapter uses a standard USB connection, so throughput and current are capped by the host port rather than the Mini PCI-E 52-pin edge connector. It cannot operate with a SIM card alone; both the WWAN module and an active SIM must be seated together. The board does not support WLAN cards or SSDs, and it provides no PCIe signalling — only the USB lanes that the WWAN module exposes. Windows XP and Vista are listed as supported operating systems, but newer releases are not referenced in the data.

Compact Board with Antenna Pigtails for Bench Use

The 52-pin Mini PCI-E edge connector mates directly with the WWAN module, while one or two antenna pigtails attach to the module’s RF ports for live signal testing. A SIM/UIM slot at the board edge accepts standard carrier cards and is wired to the module’s switch interface. The lightweight green assembly fits on a bench or inside a chassis during diagnostics, and the USB tail plugs into any convenient host port. No mounting hardware or external power brick is included or required.
