Capacity and headroom for shift-long scanning

At 2600mAh the pack provides extended run time for continuous scanning tasks across a full shift. The higher capacity gives headroom for backlight use, wireless radio activity and frequent trigger pulls without early voltage sag. When the load exceeds the cell’s current capability the terminal voltage will drop and the scanner may shut down to protect the battery.

Practical limits of the 3.7V Li-ion interface

The single-cell 3.7V chemistry sets a hard ceiling on peak current and total energy per charge cycle. Capacity fades with repeated deep discharges and elevated temperatures, so runtime will gradually shorten. The pack has no built-in fuel gauge; the host scanner estimates remaining charge from voltage alone, which becomes less accurate as the cell ages. Charging must follow the scanner’s original charging profile to avoid over-voltage stress.
