The Viking K-202-DVA is a fully programmable auto dialer designed for emergency and non-emergency message notification. It provides two dry contact inputs suitable for connecting sensors or alarm panels. Each input can dial up to seven 32-digit phone numbers and play a distinct recorded message. This unit serves residential and commercial security systems requiring automated voice alerts.

Upgrade from single-channel dialers

The K-202-DVA replaces simpler single-input auto dialers by offering two independent monitoring zones with separate number lists and messages. The jump is worth it when a property needs distinct alerts for different events such as intrusion and environmental sensors. Each zone supports up to seven 32-digit numbers and a message length of one minute. Total recording capacity across both inputs is two minutes.

Limits of analogue telephone interface

The dialer operates over a standard analogue telephone line and uses Touch Tone signalling for programming and call progress detection. It cannot function on digital PBX extensions, VoIP adapters without analogue ports, or cellular gateways that do not present a true loop-start line. Call progress detection handles normal and fast busy, pickup, CPC and ring-no-answer conditions. Remote programming requires a Touch Tone phone connection.
