The NXA055_55L is a USB 3.0 video capturing device that accepts HDMI input up to 4K at 60 Hz and passes the same signal through its loop-out port. It captures footage at 1920x1080 60 fps or 2K at 30 fps in YUY2 or MJPEG format. A 3.5 mm microphone input lets streamers add live commentary without a separate audio interface. The aluminium body dissipates heat during long sessions.

Upgrade from basic USB 2.0 grabbers

Moving to this USB 3.0 model removes the bandwidth ceiling that forces older grabbers to compress heavily or drop frames at 1080p 60 fps. The jump is worth it when you need clean 60 fps gameplay footage for OBS, QuickTime Player, VLC or Amcap on Windows 7 through 10, macOS, Linux, Android or iPadOS 17+. It will not help creators who must record at 4K 60 fps because the capture engine tops out at 1080p 60 fps.

Limited to 1080p 60 fps capture over USB 3.0

The MS2131 chip delivers 4K 60 Hz pass-through yet encodes only up to 1080p 60 fps or 2K 30 fps to the host. Deep-colour signals at 24, 30 or 36 bit are accepted but down-sampled for recording. The 0.4 A draw at 5 V means bus power is sufficient on most ports. Party-chat audio from consoles is not captured through the microphone jack.
