Continuous batch composting limits

Each chamber holds roughly half the 140-litre total, so a single batch is limited to that volume. The tumbler relies on manual rotation rather than powered turning, so decomposition speed still depends on moisture balance, carbon-to-nitrogen ratio and how often the drum is spun. The sliding doors seal against pests but must be cleared of debris to close tightly. Capacity tolerance ranges from minus ten to plus five percent.

Upgrade from single-bin or pile systems

This unit replaces open heaps or single-chamber bins that force users to stop adding waste while the full load matures. The dual-chamber design removes that downtime, making the jump worthwhile for households producing enough organic material to fill one side every few weeks. Gardeners with very low waste volumes or limited space may not need the extra chamber. The frame supports up to 88 lbs of material per load.
