The VEVOR retractable hose reel mounts on brick, concrete, wood or stone and holds a 130 ft by 1/2 inch hose. A 180-degree metal bracket lets the unit swivel for multi-directional watering. It ships pre-installed with the hose and includes a nine-pattern nozzle, a general nozzle and mounting hardware. Builders who need a longer reach or a larger diameter hose will need a different solution.

Practical Limits of the 1/2 Inch Hose

The 12 mm inner diameter suits typical residential watering tasks but restricts flow for high-volume irrigation or pressure-washing jobs. At 130 ft the hose adds friction loss, so pressure at the nozzle will be lower than at the tap. The reel weighs 13.5 kg, so the mounting surface must support that load. Users who require commercial-grade flow rates should look elsewhere.

Installation and Common Issues

The kit supplies four hexagon-head tapping screws and four expandable sleeves for wall mounting. Drilling into masonry requires a suitable drill bit and anchors not included in the box. Two leak-proof washers are provided for the hose connections; forgetting them is the most frequent cause of drips. The slow-return mechanism prevents the hose from snapping back, but the lock must be engaged cleanly or the hose may not hold at the chosen length.
