Installation Requirements and Flexibility

The unit mounts in doors between 1.06 and 2 inches thick, covering both interior and exterior applications. The frame measures 11.3 by 16.02 inches overall, so the cut-out must match that footprint. The package supplies three screw lengths — 55, 65 and 75 mm — plus hollow T-nuts and decorative caps to suit the door thickness. A paper template and exploded diagram guide the installer through the process.

Flap Capacity and Limits

The clear passage of 8.25 by 12.25 inches accommodates pets up to roughly medium build; larger breeds will not fit through the opening. The locking slide secures the flap completely when you need to restrict access.
