Eight-Piece Post Base Kit

This set supplies eight carbon-steel post bases sized for 3.5 x 3.5 inch timber. Each bracket has an internal sleeve of 3.6 x 3.6 inch and a 5.5 x 5.5 inch base plate. The fully enclosed design locks the post in place to prevent lateral movement.

Straightforward Bolt-Down Install

A power drill, the included 8-13 double-open-end wrench and the supplied hardware are all that is required. Pre-drilled holes in the base plate accept 12*60 expansion bolts for concrete or M5*25 wood screws for timber. The kit provides 48 expansion bolts, 48 self-tapping screws, 48 washers and 64 wood screws.

Fixed Geometry Constraints

The 3.6 inch internal clearance only accepts nominal 3.5 inch posts; larger or smaller sections will not fit securely. The 5.5 inch square footprint determines the minimum concrete pad or timber bearer size. Powder coating resists corrosion but the 2 mm wall thickness limits the bracket to standard residential deck and pavilion loads.
