The valve handles a maximum water pressure of 200 psi and a maximum steam pressure of 125 psi WSP. It operates between -20 Degrees F and 180 Degrees F, making it viable for hot water and low pressure steam lines. The cracking pressure range sits between .750 and 1.000 psi, so very low head systems may not open the disc fully. Not for systems exceeding these pressure or temperature limits.

Sweat installation notes and common issues

The sweat-by-sweat ends require standard copper soldering technique with flux and lead-free solder; the brass body conducts heat quickly so the joint must be cleaned and heated evenly.
