This filter suits creators who want a single, repeatable two-stop reduction for long-exposure motion blur or shallow depth of field in strong light. The hardened coating simplifies cleaning in the field. Shooters who need adjustable density across a range of lighting, or who work with thread sizes other than 55mm, should look at a different filter.
