Limits of a pre-assembled strut unit

The assembly fits only the listed model years, so it cannot be adapted to other Honda platforms or earlier Odyssey generations. Because the spring and damper are permanently joined, damping rates and spring stiffness cannot be tuned separately for load-carrying or performance preferences. Replacement of a single failed component later requires discarding the entire unit. Alignment specifications must still be verified after installation.
