This Unity electronic air strut assembly is designed for the front left corner of Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicles equipped with 4Matic all-wheel drive. It replaces the original air suspension unit on E320 models from 2003 to 2005, E350 models from 2006 to 2009, E500 models from 2004 to 2006, and E550 models from 2007 to 2009. The part restores ride height control and electronic damping function for these specific applications.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The assembly operates using the vehicle's 12-volt electrical system and engine-driven air compressor, drawing no separate external power. In normal driving the electronic damper adjusts continuously while the air spring maintains ride height with minimal compressor cycling. No cooling system or fan is integrated, so the unit adds no audible noise beyond standard suspension movement.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous cornering or heavy loading the electronic damper stiffens in response to sensor inputs while the air spring pressurises to maintain the programmed ride height. The assembly is built to withstand repeated compression cycles without internal leakage or electronic signal drift. It is not intended for vehicles without 4Matic, for non-air-suspension models, or for rear-axle fitment.
