Front Conversion Kit for GM SUVs and Trucks

The Unity 22-115000 Front Conversion Kit replaces the factory air suspension on the front axle with a passive coil-spring setup. It is designed for owners of 2002 to 2006 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT models as well as Chevrolet Avalanche 1500, Silverado 1500, Suburban 1500 and Tahoe models. GMC Yukon and Yukon XL 1500 models from 2000 to 2006 are also covered. The kit includes resistors to prevent dashboard warning lights after the conversion.

Air-Ride Retrofit Limits

This kit addresses the front axle only, leaving any rear air suspension in place unless a separate rear conversion is performed. It eliminates the air compressor, air lines and electronic height sensors that serve the front corners, so the vehicle loses automatic load levelling and ride-height adjustment at the front. The passive springs provide a fixed ride height and spring rate that cannot be altered from the driver's seat. Vehicles equipped with adaptive damping or magnetic ride control may lose those functions on the converted axle.

Capacity and Headroom

The steel springs are rated for the standard 1500-series front axle loads found on the listed trucks and SUVs, supporting daily driving, towing and hauling within the vehicle's original gross axle weight rating. They do not increase the factory payload or towing capacity, and they are not intended for vehicles that regularly exceed the stock front axle rating. Heavy aftermarket accessories such as winches or snow ploughs may reduce available spring travel and should be evaluated against the fixed spring rate.
