Factory non-amplified fitment

This wiring harness adapter connects an aftermarket subwoofer amplifier to the factory radio in compatible Chevy, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. It is designed only for base stereo systems without a factory amplifier and will not work with amplified OEM audio packages. The 14-pin connector plugs directly into the vehicle harness for a plug-and-play installation. No splicing of the original wiring is required.

Build integration

The adapter supplies one pair of RCA outputs to feed an external amplifier and includes a dedicated remote turn-on lead so the amp powers up with the radio. Because it draws signal from the non-amplified speaker outputs, it frees the installer from running new speaker-level cables to the amp location. The 15.7 cm cable length keeps the connection tidy behind the dash while reaching nearby amp mounting points. Both 2.6 cm and 2.3 cm plug bodies fit the factory connector cavities.

Adjustment pots

Two onboard gain potentiometers let the installer match the amplifier input sensitivity to the head unit output. The supplied instructions recommend turning both pots fully counter-clockwise, setting the radio volume to roughly three-quarters, then advancing each pot clockwise until audible distortion appears and backing off slightly. This procedure sets the signal level cleanly without additional test equipment. The package includes only the harness itself; no mounting hardware or RCA cables are supplied.
