PET Braided Sleeving for 10–12 mm Cables

This white expandable PET braid protects cables with an outer diameter of 10 to 12 mm. The 6.5-foot length covers automotive hi-fi wires, audio patch cables, vacuum hoses, 3D-printer wiring and ethernet cables. The sleeve keeps bundles neat and shields them from abrasion in daily use.

Verify Cable Diameter and Heat Tools Before Ordering

Ensure the cables you plan to cover fall within the 10 to 12 mm recommended outer-diameter range so the braid expands and grips correctly. You will need scissors for cutting and a flame source such as a lighter to melt the cut ends about one-eighth of an inch from the fire without touching it. The material withstands continuous temperatures from 60 to 125 and melts at roughly 230.

Cut-to-Length Braid Requires End-Sealing

The sleeve is supplied as a continuous 6.5-foot length; the supplier advises installing it before cutting so the braid tightens and yields surplus for future jobs. After cutting, you must melt the tips to prevent fraying, keeping the flame close but not touching the material. If you later apply heat-shrink tubing over the ends, avoid excessive heat that could damage the PET braid.
