The Ubiquiti Networks airCube ACB-AC is a dual-band wireless access point built for home deployments. It runs 802.11ac with 2x2 MIMO to serve laptops, phones and smart devices across two radio bands. 24 V PoE passthrough and four Gigabit ports

The enclosure includes integrated 24 V PoE passthrough so the access point can draw power and feed a downstream device from a single cable run. Four Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired uplinks and local connections for switches, PCs or additional access points. The Super Antenna design extends coverage beyond a standard omni-pattern, reducing dead zones in typical home layouts. No separate power supply is required when a compatible PoE injector is used.

802.11ac throughput limits

The 2.4 GHz radio tops out at 300 Mbps and the 5 GHz radio at 866.7 Mbps under ideal conditions, so aggregate wireless throughput cannot exceed those PHY rates. Real-world speeds will be lower due to overhead, interference and client capabilities. The unit does not support newer Wi-Fi standards such as 802.11ax, so environments that require higher efficiency or multi-gigabit wireless will need different hardware. Buyers who need more than two spatial streams or 6 GHz operation should look elsewhere.
