AI Camera Enhancement Appliance

The Ubiquiti AI Port adds advanced detection, classification, and recognition to existing UniFi or third-party cameras. It connects directly or pairs over the network and supports ONVIF-compatible devices. Face and licence-plate recognition run locally on the appliance. Installers needing AI analytics without replacing cameras are the target users.

Sustained AI Inference Load

The appliance processes continuous video streams for face and licence-plate recognition without offloading to the cloud. Local inference keeps latency predictable during prolonged operation. PoE++ input powers the unit while a PoE+ output passes power to the connected camera. Thermal design handles the steady compute demand of real-time analytics.

PoE Power Budget Constraints

A single PoE++ or PoE+ input must supply both the appliance and the downstream camera through the PoE+ output. Total draw cannot exceed the chosen PoE class limit. Cable length and injector class therefore dictate the maximum camera power available. Networks without PoE++ infrastructure cannot support the highest power configurations.
