The Tsubaki 50B22 is a plain-bore steel sprocket designed for single-strand 50 chain with a 5/8 inch pitch. Plain bore with set screws and keyway

Installation requires fitting the 3/4 inch plain bore onto the shaft, aligning the 3/16 inch wide by 3/32 inch deep keyway, then tightening the included set screws against the key and shaft. The hub projects 0.657 inch through the bore, so verify shaft length and clearance before mounting. Misalignment or loose set screws are the most common causes of premature wear or vibration.

Single-pitch 50 chain limits

This sprocket works only with ANSI 50 single-pitch roller chain; it will not engage double-pitch or metric chain. The 4.392 inch pitch diameter and 4.72 inch outside diameter fix the speed ratio, so a different ratio demands a different tooth count. The 1045 steel construction handles typical shock loads but is not hardened for extreme abrasive environments.
