The Tripp Lite PS602HG is a medical-grade power strip with six hospital-grade NEMA 5-15R-HG outlets and a 1.5 ft cord ending in a NEMA 5-15P-HG plug. It delivers 15 A at 120 V AC for general power distribution in administrative areas and resident rooms where no line-operated diagnostic, treatment or monitoring equipment is present. The metal housing carries an exclusive anti-microbial coating tested at 99.9 % effectiveness against bacteria and viruses.

Suited for non-patient-care zones

This unit is approved for use outside patient-care vicinities and complies with UL 1363, making it appropriate for offices, nurses’ stations or similar spaces that need hospital-grade receptacles without the stricter patient-vicinity rating. Facilities that require power strips inside a patient-care vicinity or that need longer cord runs should look at other models.

Behaviour under sustained load

The strip’s 15 A rating and metal construction support continuous operation at full capacity without the thermal throttling sometimes seen in lighter plastic units.
