4 m OM3 duplex cable for 10/40 Gb networks

This 4 metre OM3 multimode patch cable uses 50/125 micron fibre terminated with duplex LC connectors on both ends. It is rated for 10 and 40 gigabit Ethernet links up to 300 metres at 850 nm wavelength. The aqua jacket identifies the OM3 grade and suits laser-optimised VCSEL or LED sources in LAN, SAN and parallel interconnect deployments.

OFNP plenum jacket and LC connectors

The cable carries an OFNP rating so it can be routed through plenum spaces such as drop ceilings and raised floors without additional conduit. Duplex male LC connectors on each end provide a compact, keyed interface that clicks into standard transceivers and patch panels. The non-conductive plenum construction meets fire-safety requirements for in-building backbone runs.

Passive fibre with no power draw

As a passive optical cable it introduces no electrical load, generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. Signal loss is limited to the intrinsic attenuation of the 50/125 micron multimode glass at 850 nm. The assembly simply connects two LC ports and relies on the active transceivers at each end for all power and thermal management.
