The TL-SG3452X is a rackmount Layer 3 managed switch built for businesses that need dense copper connectivity and fast fibre uplinks. It delivers forty-eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports alongside four 10 Gbps SFP+ slots for aggregation or server links. The switch supports static routing, VLANs and QoS with eight priority queues, making it suitable for office, campus or ISP edge deployments. It runs in standalone mode or integrates with Omada SDN for centralised cloud management.

Upgrade from Unmanaged or 1G-Only Switches

This model replaces unmanaged Gigabit switches that lack uplink bandwidth, traffic segmentation or remote visibility. The jump is worth it when you need 10 Gbps uplinks to eliminate bottlenecks between access and core layers, or when you require L2+ features such as IGMP snooping, LACP and DHCP snooping. It also adds stacking support so multiple units can be managed as a single logical device. If your network runs purely at 1 Gbps with no growth plan, the extra uplink capacity and management overhead may be unnecessary.

48 Copper Ports and Four 10G Slots for Aggregation

The forty-eight RJ45 ports handle workstations, access points and IoT devices with a 16K MAC table and 12 Mbit buffer. Four 10 Gbps SFP+ slots provide non-blocking uplinks to servers or distribution switches, supporting jumbo frames up to 9KB. Security features include IP-MAC-Port binding with 512 entries, DHCP snooping and ARP inspection for IPv4, plus equivalent IPv6 guards. The switch does not supply PoE, so devices needing inline power will require separate injectors or a PoE model.
