The TP-Link TL-SG1218MP delivers 16 Gigabit PoE+ ports compliant with 802.3af/at standards, each supplying up to 30W. A total power budget of 250W supports multiple IP cameras, access points and VoIP phones simultaneously. Two additional Gigabit RJ45 ports and two combo SFP slots provide flexible uplink options for core network connections. Unmanaged operation means the switch works immediately without any software configuration.

Sustained load with intelligent power management

Under continuous demand the switch monitors total consumption against the 250W budget. When connected devices draw more power than the budget allows, intelligent management automatically disables lower-priority ports to keep critical endpoints running. Port-based 802.1p/DSCP QoS and IGMP Snooping prioritise latency-sensitive voice and video streams during heavy traffic. The 768KB buffer and 1000 Mbps forwarding rate maintain wire-speed throughput across all active ports.

Silent metal chassis with wide temperature range

A sturdy metal enclosure acts as a heatsink, allowing fanless operation that produces no audible noise in office or rack environments. The design supports a wide operating temperature range for reliable performance in varied conditions. Desktop or rackmount installation is possible with the included hardware. Power is supplied via a standard IEC cord, drawing only what the connected PoE devices require plus the switch's own circuitry.
