The Thrustmaster 4060172 is a dedicated wheel rim designed for sim racers on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4. It replicates the Ferrari SF1000 steering wheel with a 4.3-inch IPS LCD display that presents up to 69 data items during a session. A 3 mm carbon-fibre faceplate built from 21 layers keeps the rim light while preserving rigidity for accurate force-feedback transmission. Twenty-five action inputs, including seven encoders, give drivers extensive control over vehicle settings without reaching for a keyboard.

Upgrading from a basic bundled wheel

Racers moving up from an entry-level wheel gain a purpose-built carbon-fibre rim, a high-resolution dashboard and a much larger button count. The jump is worthwhile when you need real-time telemetry visible at a glance and want every brake-bias, differential or engine-map adjustment mapped to a dedicated encoder. If your current wheel already provides a carbon rim, integrated display and 25 programmable inputs, this add-on does not add new capability.

Build integration and cockpit fit

The rim attaches to a compatible Thrustmaster wheel base using the brand's quick-release system, so you need a base that accepts Ferrari-licensed add-ons. Native wired connectivity works on every supported platform, while wireless telemetry mode lets the display receive data without a direct USB link to the console or PC. The lightweight 21-layer construction reduces rotational mass, freeing the base's motor to render finer force-feedback detail, but the rim itself supplies no pedals, shifter or base unit.
