What the T.16000M FCS HOTAS does

The Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS HOTAS combines a flight stick and separate throttle for PC flight simulation. It connects by USB and runs on Windows 10, 8, 7 and Vista in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Hall Effect magnetic sensors on the stick give precise, drift-free movement across four independent axes including a twist rudder. The stick carries 16 action buttons with braille-style identification so they can be found by touch.

Behaviour during long sessions

Hall Effect sensors have no physical potentiometers to wear down, so centre accuracy and axis linearity stay consistent over many hours of flying. The stick can be switched between left- and right-handed grip without tools, letting a pilot change posture to reduce fatigue. Four independent axes mean pitch, roll, yaw and throttle each keep their own resolution during sustained manoeuvres. The 256-button programming limit in T.A.R.G.E.T software covers complex aircraft without forcing layered shifts.

Installing and common issues

Plug the stick and throttle into two free USB ports; Windows installs the standard HID driver automatically. Run the T.A.R.G.E.T configurator once to merge the two devices into a single virtual controller if the simulator expects one joystick object. The braille-style buttons are distinct by feel, but the mini-stick and slider on the throttle are close together and can be triggered accidentally until muscle memory forms. No external power supply is required.
