Thread Locker Blue 243 50 ml

A medium-strength anaerobic adhesive designed to secure metal threaded fasteners against vibration and shock. Suitable for automotive, motorcycle, bicycle, furniture, appliance, electronic and industrial equipment maintenance. The formulation prevents loosening, corrosion and leakage on metal screws up to M32. Supplied as a 50 ml liquid in a precision nozzle bottle.

Capacity and headroom

The 50 ml bottle provides enough compound for numerous small-to-medium fastener assemblies. Curing begins in 10 minutes and reaches full strength after 24 hours, giving a practical window for adjustment before the bond becomes permanent. The anaerobic chemistry requires the 4/9 fill headspace to remain stable during storage and transport. Larger diameter threads beyond M32 or applications requiring permanent high-strength locking fall outside the intended range.

Anaerobic curing constraints

The adhesive only polymerises in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces, so it will not cure in open gaps or on non-metallic substrates. The 4/9 bottle fill level is a deliberate design feature to preserve shelf life, not a short fill. Precision nozzle allows controlled application but the liquid format limits use to accessible threads where the compound can flow into the engagement zone before assembly.
