Metal Detectable Cable Tie Mount

The Thomas & Betts TY-RAP TC5141-NDT is a screw-mount saddle designed to secure cable ties in environments where foreign-object detection is required. Its blue Nylon 6/6 body contains a metal-detectable additive so fragments can be found by standard inspection equipment. The mount accepts ties up to 50 lb tensile strength and fits a #6 screw hole. It suits food-processing, pharmaceutical and packaging lines that mandate detectable components.

Capacity and headroom

Two entry slots measuring .19 in wide by .27 in high allow parallel or perpendicular tie routing for flexible loom management. The saddle handles cable bundles within the 50 lb tensile rating; loads beyond that risk tie failure rather than mount deformation. Operating limits span -40 to 185 °F, so the mount remains functional in cold-storage and wash-down zones alike. It is not rated for flame-retardant applications needing UL 94 V-0.
