The Alters sci-fi survival game

The Alters is a single-player adventure from 11 bit studios that places you in the role of Jan Dolski, stranded on a hostile planet after a crash landing. You operate a mobile base and use a substance called Rapidium to create alternative versions of yourself, each reflecting a different life choice. These Alters become your crew, bringing distinct skills and personalities to the survival effort. The game blends base building, resource gathering and narrative branching as you try to escape the planet's deadly sun.

Branching narrative driven by player choices

Progress depends on managing the needs and relationships of multiple Alters while exploring the planet and expanding the base. Each playthrough can diverge based on which alternate Jan versions you create and how you resolve the moral dilemmas that arise. The story unfolds through spoken English and Ukrainian dialogue with subtitles available in twelve languages. A Steam account is required to activate and play the downloadable PC title, which releases on 13 June 2025.

The product is delivered as a Steam online game code with no physical media, so installation size and hardware demands are determined by the final build on the platform.
