The Taylor 5289BP2 pack supplies two compact digital instruments that display temperature and humidity at a glance. Each unit updates its readings every 10 seconds through 11 sensitive vents, covering a range from -9.9 to 60 degrees Celsius and 10 to 95 percent relative humidity. Accuracy sits at ±1 degree for temperature and ±3-5 percent RH for humidity, giving reliable feedback for rooms, incubators or reptile tanks. A built-in comfort icon shows a smiley, sad or neutral face to indicate whether conditions feel dry, comfortable or wet.

Each meter measures 2 by 1.34 by .51 inches and weighs only a few grams, so it fits on a shelf, inside a wine cellar or on a terrarium wall without crowding. The included 3M adhesive pad lets you stick a unit to any clean surface, while the flat back also allows simple freestanding placement. A CR2032 coin cell ships installed and the battery cover opens easily for replacement when needed. The clear LCD presents large digits and a Celsius/Fahrenheit selector button that is recessed into the case.

Practical limits of the sensing range

The sensor stops reporting below -9.9 degrees or above 60 degrees Celsius, so unheated garages in deep winter or saunas will fall outside its window. Humidity readings are specified from 10 to 95 percent RH, with the quoted ±3-5 percent tolerance applying up to 40 percent; beyond that the error band may widen. Readings refresh only every 10 seconds, which is adequate for ambient monitoring but too slow for tracking rapid changes such as incubator door openings. No data logging, wireless transmission or calibration adjustment is provided.
