The Sycho Sound 8D is an empty sealed cabinet built for two 8-inch woofers in cars, trucks or SUVs. It arrives fully assembled with CARB-compliant MDF construction, black aviation-grade carpet and gold binding posts for raw-wire connection. Each chamber provides 0.33 cubic feet of internal volume and a 0.625-inch thick front baffle. Installers simply drop in their own drivers and connect the supplied leads.

Upgrade from single-driver boxes

The dual-chamber layout doubles cone area over a single 8-inch enclosure, raising output without port noise. It suits owners moving up from a single-subwoofer kit who have the cargo space for the 10 by 20 by 9.75 inch footprint and the 6.5-inch mounting depth. The slanted rear panel helps the box fit behind rear seats in many trucks and SUVs. Builders needing more than two drivers or a ported alignment will need a different cabinet.

Sustained output behaviour

Sealed alignment keeps cone excursion controlled during long bass passages, so thermal compression stays predictable. The 7.125-inch cutouts and 0.625-inch baffle resist flexing when both drivers run at high levels. Gold binding posts maintain low-resistance contact through extended play sessions. No internal bracing or damping material is included, so very high continuous power may eventually excite panel resonance.
