It is certified to NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 standards for reduction of volatile organic compounds, pharmaceuticals, chlorine taste and odour, lead, cysts and mercury. The cartridge uses coconut-shell carbon with up to 50 percent more filtering pores while retaining beneficial minerals and fluoride.
