Compatible ribbon pack for Facit dot-matrix printers

This six-pack of black ink ribbons replaces Facit part 507155 and fits Facit E7640, E7650 and E7650-TX models. It also works with ADP 400, Acom 600, Anzac 2600, ITT Courier 13087 and 13487, Ideal Technology 8920 and Prima 500 printers. The ribbons are built to OEM specifications using new and recycled components in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities. They are designed for 110 V machines sold in the U.S.

Dot-matrix impact printing limits

Ribbon life depends on print density and document length; high-volume invoice or receipt runs will exhaust ink faster than light text. The fabric ribbon cannot be refilled once the ink is depleted, so a fresh cartridge is required for continued operation. Print quality degrades gradually as ink runs low, producing lighter characters before total fade. No page-yield figure is supplied by the manufacturer.

Simple cartridge swap with common pitfalls

Installation consists of opening the printer cover, removing the spent ribbon cassette and snapping the new one into the same guides. The most frequent error is threading the ribbon behind the print-head shield instead of in front of it, which causes smudging or blank lines. Another issue is forgetting to advance the ribbon tension knob after fitting, leaving slack that can snag during the first print job.
