A roguelike card adventure for solo players

Stray Path is a single-player roguelike card game from chx games, published by Yogscast Games. Each run drops you into a randomly generated world where you flip cards to reveal enemies, chests or events. You choose an adventurer, manage a deck of skill and item cards, and drag cards in a FreeCell-style layout with space to store two cards in reserve. Over 100 pieces of equipment and items let you shape distinct playstyles across multiple characters. The game launches on PC via Steam on 6 February 2025.

Replaces repetitive deck-builders

If you have played standard roguelike deck-builders where draws feel passive, the FreeCell-inspired drag-and-drop mechanic and the two-card reserve slot change how you plan each turn. The jump is worth it when you want more agency over card order and a larger pool of equipment combinations without learning a completely new ruleset. Runs stay short enough for quick sessions but the 100-plus items keep long-term variety high.

This product is a digital Steam code, not a standalone installer. You must redeem it through the Steam client, which requires a free Steam account and an online connection for activation.
