Thunderbolt 3 GPU expansion

The Sonnet eGPU Breakaway Box 750ex connects a desktop graphics card to a Thunderbolt 3 equipped Mac or Windows computer. It houses a 750 W power supply and accepts double-width cards such as Radeon RX, Radeon Pro WX and GeForce RTX models. The GPU itself is not included. M1 Macs are not compatible with external GPUs.

750ex connectivity additions

This 750ex variant adds four 5 Gb/s USB Type A ports and an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port to the single Thunderbolt 3 link. The extra USB ports let you attach storage, input devices or other peripherals directly to the chassis. The Ethernet port provides a wired network connection without using a separate adapter on the host.

Video editors, 3D artists and colourists who need GPU acceleration for rendering, grading or effects work will benefit from the enclosure's power headroom and peripheral hub. Buyers whose only ports are USB-C without Thunderbolt, or who use Apple Silicon Macs, cannot use this product. Gamers wanting an all-in-one unit with a pre-installed card should look elsewhere.
