Three-band pocket radio

The SOEWIOU EKE88 receives FM, AM and shortwave signals in a unit that fits in a shirt pocket. It runs on two AA batteries, so it works where there is no mains power. A 3.5 mm earphone jack lets you listen privately and a built-in LED flashlight adds a practical extra for evening walks or power cuts.

Reception depends on location and patience

FM covers 87–108 MHz, AM covers 522–1620 kHz and shortwave spans 5.9–18 MHz. The manufacturer notes that AM and shortwave need an outdoor or window-side position and slow, careful tuning to lock onto stations. The 360° adjustable antenna helps, but distant or weak signals may still be unreadable indoors.

Clip-on convenience with engraved controls

A spring back clip and wrist lanyard keep the radio secure on a belt or pack. Control legends are engraved on the rear casing, including the hidden on/off marks beneath the antenna, so they remain legible after heavy use. The 3 W speaker delivers room-filling volume, yet the whole unit weighs only 0.168 kg and measures 2.76 x 1.34 x 5.08 inches.
